Welcome to
Kwasha Kids!

To provide, for all students at the Kwasha Moyla Community School, a free education and school lunch program that is designed to promote good health habits and enhance each student’s ability to learn.

Prior to the creation of the school children in the area had no opportunity for an education. Free schools are scarcely available to the ever-growing population of Zambia.

Our Mission

Impact

Gender Equal Education

Kwasha offers a general equitable education, thus giving girls a chance for a better life. Educated girls marry later, have fewer, healthier children, and have more opportunities to contribute to the financial wellbeing of the family. Girls who do not have the benefit of education are at risk to be married very young or sent to work as early as age 14.

School Lunch Program

Our school lunch program offers well balanced meals for students, utilizing some of the yields from Kwasha’s farm, thus promoting good nutrition and improving health.

Community

Education benefits the entire family and community. Parents involvement in the sustainability of their school fosters awareness of the importance of education. The school has empowered the community through family involvement as PTA members, volunteer cooks, and workers in the school garden. Parents helped make the 8,000 bricks used in the construction of the school building.
